Landed in Singapore for the first part of our trip and stepped off the plane into tropical heat!  It was a great feeling after the cold in Christchurch the week before we left.

The hotel, Intercontinental Singapore, was a beautiful Peranakan-style setting in a great location.  Direct access into the Bugis Junction mall and the Bugis MRT station plus access to a lovely Club Lounge.

After a good nights’ sleep we headed into the Singapore National Gallery and started our three days of walking around Singapore.

Managed to do most of the things on our list and utilised the MRT as much as possible.  It was so fantastic to be able to walk through the cool of the metro rather than up on the steamy streets.

With another day in Singapore on the way back, we will be able to catch the last couple of things we wanted to see.
